Welcome to the WattChop Platform, a service by EnergyBoom LLC ("EnergyBoom"). By accessing or using the WattChop platform ("Platform"), you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Each account is for individual use only and is non-transferable. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Sharing account access with third parties or creating multiple accounts to circumvent platform limitations is prohibited. EnergyBoom reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
WattChop is a tariff-smart optimization platform for solar and storage. The Platform analyzes energy usage data against applicable rate tariffs to generate analysis reports and optimization insights. These analyses are designed to be paired with a contractor's proposal and are not intended to replace one. Results are based on the data provided and publicly available rate structures, and actual outcomes may vary based on real-world conditions.
Project credits are purchased for use on individual project analyses. Each credit is intended for a single, complete analysis. Repeatedly clearing project data and uploading new datasets to circumvent purchasing additional credits constitutes a violation of these fair use terms. EnergyBoom monitors platform activity for patterns consistent with credit misuse and reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts engaging in such behavior.
The WattChop platform, including its software, optimization engine, report templates, and all generated analyses, is the intellectual property of EnergyBoom. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use reports generated through the Platform for their own business purposes. Users may not republish, redistribute, resell, or represent WattChop reports as their own proprietary work without express written consent.
WattChop takes your data privacy seriously. We collect energy usage data, project details, and account information necessary to deliver our services.
Your anonymized usage data — stripped of any identifying information — helps us build more accurate benchmarks and fill data gaps for all users, enhancing the Platform's insights and services for everyone. This data may also be used to develop new features and improve analysis accuracy across the Platform.
WattChop will not share your identity, facility-specific details, or any personally identifiable information with third parties without your consent.
All analyses provided through the Platform are for analytical purposes only. Reports reflect modeled outcomes based on the data provided and applicable rate tariffs at the time of analysis. EnergyBoom does not guarantee specific financial outcomes, energy savings, or system performance.
EnergyBoom is not a licensed contractor and does not provide proposals, quotes, or installation services. Analysis reports are designed to complement — not replace — a licensed contractor's proposal.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EnergyBoom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on any analysis provided.
The quality of any analysis depends on the accuracy of the data provided. Users are responsible for ensuring that energy usage data, facility information, and other inputs are accurate and complete. EnergyBoom is not liable for inaccuracies in reports resulting from incomplete or incorrect user-provided data.
EnergyBoom reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes via the Platform or email. Continued use of the Platform following any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
EnergyBoom may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at its discretion for violations of these terms, including but not limited to: account misuse, credit abuse, unauthorized redistribution of reports, or any activity that compromises the integrity of the Platform or its users.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
